Head of Care - Wiltshire - £41,500 p/a - 42 hours - GT27338
I am currently seeking a passionate candidate to take up the position of Head of Care to manage a fully compliant purpose built service in the Wiltshire area paying a salary of £41,500. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a care group with a proven track record of running successful homes who have ambitious yet realistic growth plans with years to come.
You will first work in the current home although the home is soon to move into a purpose built care centre in Salisbury later on this year.
The service ensures all residents within the home are receiving the best possible care from the passionate care staff, making this an ideal working environment. It will be your responsibility as the most senior person in the day to day running of the care centre.
However the business running of the home is centralised in the groups Head Office. You are heavily supported on a daily basis by the Admin team, Service Manager, Operations & Business Directors as well as the founding directors who will give you full support to make the home work. A main responsibly is to be a people manager and have overall control of the employees on a day to day basis.
The home provides nursing and residential care to resident who are mainly elderly and suffer from dementia. This role will require previous experience of working as a Senior Nurse and you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards or care and clinical excellence. You will work closely with your Home Manager to monitor the standards of nursing and ensure the well-being of the resident's health is maintained.
To assist and carry responsibility for the clinical management of the home during the day
Develop skills of the care team
Promote and maintain and high standard of nursing care
To ensure effective induction of all staff together with clinical supervision of trained staff, mentorship and assessment of student nurses and induction of new care staff
To work within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and the Commission for Social Care Inspection standards.
To ensure there is adequate staff cover for all shifts in line with requirements.
Hold a current Nurse pin (RGN or RMN)
Excellent communication skills - Written and Verbal
Experience as Senior Nurse or Manager
