Are you ready for a new challenge within a well-established team dedicated to ensuring excellence in clinical care?
Are you passionate about teaching, training and research in Palliative and End of Life Care?
Would you like the opportunity to work within a supportive team, which promotes and supports ongoing development?
If so, this could be the exciting new opportunity you’ve been looking for so please read on.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Palliative and End of Life Care Team at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. The team works to support patients, their families and carers with progressive advanced life limiting disease requiring specialist palliative care
The successful candidate will have experience of working with patients requiring specialist palliative care support in a variety of settings and will have an ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. They will have an understanding of the complex health needs and social pressures within a deprived inner city population. In return we offer a personal training programme including mentorship and support from multi-professional colleagues and our Head of Nursing.
All Clinical Nurse Specialists within our team receive regular clinical supervision and we actively encourage and support professional development through opportunities such as research and audit projects.
Due to a development of our Applyome service, part of our community services, Clinical Nurses Specialists are no longer required to be on-call overnight which means that shift patterns can now be more flexible, resulting in a better work/life balance for all members of the team.
We are also very proud to have developed initiatives such as the AMBER care bundle and we responded early to the Neuberger review with the implementation of the new Principles of Care for the Dying patient across our hospitals and in the community.
If you would like to find out more about this great opportunity, our innovative practice and the dedicated team please email us or apply!
