HMP Bullingdon is a Cat B/C prison holding male adults ages 18 and over and is located in rural Oxfordshire with access to free parking, Gym facilities and on site café. The healthcare service mirrors that of a primary care centre within the community, running a range of clinics and supporting many visiting professionals such as physiotherapist, podiatrist, dental services and numerous others. To ensure the continued quality of care at HMP Bullingdon, we're looking for a Senior Nurse to come and join the team to provide the day to day clinical management of the department, ensure clinical standards and supervision of junior staff within the healthcare unit and to work with the Management team to develop the services offered at HMP Bullingdon.
The Job Role
As the Senior Nurse you will work as part of the nursing team, utilising your clinical expertise, decision making and problem solving skills to provide skilled and evidence based nursing care for patients in the prison. You'll be responsible for the continuing management of patients and acute and long term medical conditions, including assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, health promotion actively and care of vulnerable offenders. You’ll work closely with the Senior nursing team and Clinical Lead to ensure that the provision of care is evidence based and patient centred.
The Job Requirements
To be considered for this role you will be a Level 1 Registered Nurse (General/Adult) and hold a current NMC registration and have evidence of continued professional development post registration.This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week. The salary for this role is £36,000 per annum. We also offer 25 days annual leave + 8 public holidays, Contributory pension scheme 2-5%.
