    Job Description

    Inpatient Lead Nurse  

    Brand New Private & Specialist Spinal and Orthopaedic Hospital  

    Clinically Qualified, RGN / NMC Pin, Nurse Management Background    

    £45,000 - £50,000 +company benefits

    The Client: Compass Associates are extremely proud to be exclusively recruiting for a brand new private hospital in the Harley Street medical area. The hospital will specialise in Spinal and Orthopaedics and the group will also have a Mental Health Hospital in the Birmingham area.  They bring to London a new and exciting model of salaried and permanently employed consultants, who are fully invested and KPI driven.  The hospital is due to open their doors in spring 2018 and we are focusing on recruiting their senior management team to assist in the commissioning of the service.  

       

    The Role: This is a fantastic opportunity to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the inpatient nursing service comprised of 3x inpatient wards, 39 beds, split into 16, 14 & 9 bedded wards, and one day case ward (8 pods).    

    The successful candidate will have a strong background in an Acute Surgical Hospital, must have skills in Orthopaedics and Spinal Surgeries and have clear management / leadership experience.    

    You will be providing clinical, professional and managerial leadership to the Inpatient Nursing Service.    

    You will need to set the highest standard of evidence-based nursing care and ensure that a safe, cost effective service is provided at all times.    

    The role will be liaising and reporting directly to the Chief Nurse in order to recruit a highly competent workforce, ultimately building a first class reputation for the hospital.    

    The main focus with this role is to commission and manage a brand new ward and day unit in this new hospital, recruit your team around you, and share and implement the core values.    

       

    About the Individual:    

    -Registered Nurse with NMC Pin    

    -Orthopaedic and Spinal experience is a must.    

    -Senior Sister level role, Lead or Ward Manager background is key.    

    -Preferably from the independent sector, but candidates from specialist orthopaedic or spinal NHS hospitals are considered.    

    -Mentorship Qualification    

    -CQC experience ideally  

    -Excellent Communication Skills  

    -Experience in leading people  

    -Rostering / Recruiting    

               

    Location: Commutable from London, Surrey, Guilford, Woking, Hertfordshire, Hampshire, Essex and more.    

       

    Salary and Package: Competitive salary package £45,000 - £50,000 plus company benefits to be discussed at interview
