    Bexhill-on-Sea - Private Psychiatric Hospital

An experienced Ward Manager (RMN/RNLD) is required on a permanent, full-time basis at my client's private psychiatric hospital in Bexhill-on-Sea, providing comprehensive nursing care in a low secure/locked environment to adults with complex and enduring mental health needs and learning disabilities.

The successful candidate will be managing a small ward within the hospital, treating women with severe and complex mental health needs and challenging behaviours. As Ward Manager (RMN/RNLD), you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the ward and its coordination, ensuring that staff rotas are compliant and clinical cover is always in adherence to the hospital's policies. Attendance and contribution at clinical governance, quality management and audit meetings is key, as well as ensuring all staff receive regular appraisals, development plans and support. You will work closely with senior clinicians within the service to manage patient flow throughout the hospital, and be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of all care plans within the ward. New patients will be met by yourself, and you'll regularly review all service users' progress against their care plans, making informed deductions and decisions whilst always keeping patient safety and wellbeing at the forefront of your practice.

    The Requirements
    • RMN/RNLD in the UK with valid NMC registration and active PIN
    • Relevant experience with the specific client group at Ward Manager or equivalent level
    • Extensive experience in directly supervising a healthcare team within a similar environment
    • In-depth working knowledge of relevant healthcare legislation i.e. The Mental Health Act
    • Excellent standard of clinical skills and judgement

    • Supportive team and working environment
    • Child care vouchers
    • Private pension scheme
    • Free parking
    • 24/7 access to Employee Assistance Programme
    • Comprehensive induction programme, specific to the site
    • Ongoing training and career development pathways
