As a result of our success over the last year, we are currently designing and making plans to deliver a new model of care for general practice; New Practice Model (NPM) and have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Service to join this team. Working with a leading Pharmacy Partner, the model aims to provide an enhanced service to NHS patients through the use of technology, remote care and local services delivered from our Pharmacy Partner sites. This new way of delivering general practice services in the UK will utilise Care UK’s extensive clinical contact centre capability as well as optimising patient experience and service quality through use of a comprehensive online capability. The Head of Services will sit within the New Services division and alongside the NPM. this division is made up of a number of new and innovative primary care services: Practice Assist - a live service which delivers telephone and video GP appointments to a number of practices across the country. The service is currently moving to scale, and a number of scale mobilisations are expected to take place over the coming year, and will be part of the portfolio brief. NHS remote patient monitoring - working with a forward looking group of commissioners to develop a Long Term Condition home monitoring solution to help keep patients well and in their own homes. Retail wearable – a ‘watch-style’ device to provide “tele-peace-of-mind”, retailed through a major high street chain. All of these opportunities will to some extent make use of Care UK’s five clinical call centres (spread across the country) and IT solutions.
Project Manager for NPM
The role is to be based at our West Midland’s Call Centre in Dudley where you will develop and manage a team to deliver general practice services remotely. This team will be made up of clinicians (including GPs, Nurses, Pharmacists) as well as administrative staff (including Healthcare Advisors, a rota team and medical administrators). You will also be responsible for managing Service Managers that are based at the local geographies we are serving which can be across the UK who will be responsible for the face to face care delivery at these localities. This is an exciting new role, providing an opportunity to really shape the delivery of a transformational model of care, and as a result of this, aspects of the role are likely to be subject to change as we define and grow the service together.
This role will be based at our West Midlands site in Dudley and is paying £50,000-£55,000 depending on experience.
