Elderly Complex Needs including: Dementia & Challenging Behaviour
My client is based in a quiet residential suburb of Newcastle upon Tyne, specialising in providing person-centred nursing care for people who have dementia, and to those who show distressed reactions and have a range of complex needs. This is a purpose-built home set in safe, enclosed spacious gardens. Shops, a leisure centre and park are all within easy walking distance.
The home has lounges for relaxing quietly and where residents can take part in activities, as well as a sensory room offering stimulation and relaxation.
All 47 bedrooms have en-suites, and are decorated to the resident's choice The home also has a nine-bed specialist unit for those requiring specialist treatment.
Staff Nurse Skills and responsibilities
Monitoring blood sugar levels and IV
Putting together treatment plans
Overseeing a team of care assistants
Liaising with GP and multi-disciplinary team

Staff Nurse Requirements
Hold a relevant nursing qualification
Be registered with the NMC
Have satisfactory references
