Working at the Spire Gatwick Park Hospital team, you will deputise for the Senior Ward Sister or Charge Nurse, taking on delegated duties. Providing the highest standards of nursing care, you will be responsible for all training and educational needs across the Ward, ensuring staff are taking advantage of relevant training opportunities and that their skills are constantly updated. Developing competency assessments in order to highlight any areas of need, your annual training plan will ensure all staff are at the top of their professional game. You be also be the first port of call for student nurses, acting as liaison between the hospital and the university, co-ordinating their placements.
To get the most out of this invigorating role, you will need to have outstanding verbal and written communication skills. A real people person, you will be a registered nurse with a mentorship qualification – either completed or one that you are currently working towards.
With good knowledge of clinical education, you will have evidence of your own ongoing professional development, and an understanding of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct. As you will be line managing the Healthcare Assistants, you will be a natural leader, and your passion for clinical excellence will motivate the team to be the best in their field.
