I am currently representing an 81-bed home in Perth that makes the most of pleasant grounds and a versatile interior to provide top quality nursing and residential care. Professionals are available round-the-clock and also skilled in care and support for physical disabilities and dementia. A committed team work hard to ensure that all provision is tailored to the individual, while allowing them to make the most of a relaxed and homely atmosphere.
The main role will be to provide the leadership that ensures each and every resident in your charge has their physical, psychological and social needs met. Whether you're assessing the needs of a new resident, making sure all safeguarding policies are being acted on, taking part in audits, or ensuring we're keeping scrupulous records, you'll make sure your team is reaching the highest standards. We'll also look to you to oversee the administration of medicines by your team in line with NMC regulations, and manage stock levels effectively. Above all, you'll be an inspirational leader, supporting, supervising and mentoring your team at every turn, and ensuring they have the clinical training they need to provide the very best care.
You'll need a current NMC registration, RN (General) and evidence of a mentoring or supervision qualification. You've already spent time working with older people, and have acted as a clinical mentor, including supporting newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship. What's more, you've proved you're a natural leader and problem solver, with a can-do attitude, a resilient nature and a track record of delivering improvements in care.
