Ward Manager - Adult Acute/Dementia Care

We are seeking a capable and dynamic Ward Manager to join our client's Mental Health Unit, based in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire , a former mill town on the edge of the Pennines (15 minutes from Leeds by train).
This is a full-time post but our client is open to hearing from candidates seeking to negotiate a part-time hours opportunity; however, fixed hours cannot be assured.
Our client is a major provider of UK independent mental health care. Dedicated to patients' health and wellbeing, our client offers a high standard of services, inspiring innovation and providing programmes that are individually tailored to patients' specific needs. This ward supports 10 patients with dementia and challenging behaviours.
The successful candidate will work with a small multidisciplinary team to plan and co-ordinate nursing care, including recruitment and assessment of staff and rota management.
They will play an active role in liaising with relatives and external organisations, and monitor the facility to ensure that quality standards are maintained or exceeded.
Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered General Nurse with full NMC registration.
Extensive Dementia Care experience of at least five years, with substantial experience in a Mental Health Unit setting.
Confident and effective leader with excellent organisation skills.
Experience in teaching or training junior staff.
Up-to-date knowledge of the Mental Health Act.
