My client Specialises in same day diagnostics and outpatient medical and dental services that deliver an extensive range of treatments at their state-of-the-art clinic in the Hertfordshire region.
Working with highly qualified GPs, medical consultants, dentists, support staff and the most advanced diagnostic and imaging equipment available in the industry enables us to deliver an exemplary standard of patient care in addition to an extensive range of medical and dental services and treatments all under one roof.
My client has a vision for the future of self pay, insured, self-referral, NHS and private referral care which promotes a culture of the healthcare consumer.
The Private Medical Centre will be running 7 days a week providing outpatient clinics, private primary care services including GP and advanced nurse practitioner appointments, travel immunisations, well woman/man clinics. All services they provide will have access to their diagnostics, reducing wait times for patients and delivering a 'one stop' experience.
In certain areas training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate the clients values and the dedication to patients that my client is looking for.
Scope of Role
This is a senior clinical role and an important member of the nursing team with key responsibilities for the safe and effective delivery of nursing services.
The role requires outstanding customer service and patient relationship skills and successful candidates will be confident, articulate practitioners with a wide range of clinical experience gained in a primary care or outpatient setting.
Maintain a visible presence with patients and staff, fostering an open culture that values high quality care and sound clinical outcomes. Participate as a senior member of the clinical nursing team to ensure exceptionally high quality bespoke care provided to our patients including treatment, preventative care, screening and patient education
Promote a collaborative, evidence-based service culture to foster continuous improvement and share good practice.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders including Consultants, GPs, Clinic staff and external partners.
Promote and demonstrate effective communication practices within nursing services and with all other interfaces.
Participate as appropriate in the delivery of training of nursing and other staff as required.
Supervise and review the clinical skills of more junior members of staff and assist in their training and development.
Assist with Senior Specialist Nurse duties as required and within scope of competence.

To work flexibly as part of the team and to undertake any other relevant duties as required in the post.
Diagnosing, assessing and managing long term conditions
Carrying out effective telephone triage to assist with the effective planning of treatments and examinations
To undertake a wide range of clinical duties including:
Other general nursing duties e.g. dressings, ear syringing, etc
Well man and women clinics
Assisting doctors as appropriate
Providing general and specific health screenings to patients within agreed protocols
Follow all processes in relation to patient notes and all documentation associated with patient health care and monitor compliance on a regular basis.
Ensure compliance with all protocols relating to collection, storage and dispatch of pathological specimens including intravenous blood samples, swabs, smears etc. and ensure the cleanliness of any equipment used.
Registered first level nurse
BSc (Hons) or eqiv
Membership of a professional body
Clinical supervision training and experience
Evidence of CPD
Experience and Knowledge
Substantial post registration experience
Primary nursing and out patients experience.
Management of minor illness, minor ailments and injuries
Accountability and responsibility of team.
Knowledge of clinical governance issues
