Our client is an acute private hospital division and is the largest independent provider of private health care in the UK. It has over 60 hospitals nationwide. Each hospital is equipped with the latest technology and handling over 275,000 inpatient and 1,500,000 outpatients visits each year.
The purpose of Sister/Charge Nurse is to provide a high standard of service to all patients. Using your current knowledge, skills, and ability to deal with the patients within the ward. As Sister/Charge Nurse you will participate in the assessment of all patients and have the ability to develop/implement/evaluate care programs if appropriate.
Your duties as Sister/Charge Nurse is to lead and support team of Nurses, junior staff, and healthcare assistant. You will deal with day to day clinical management for the department to ensure that effective nursing intervention are put in place.
In the absence of the Ward Manager the Sister/Charge Nurse is expected to manage the ward and ensure the working environment is safe for all members and patients. You will also play an active part in audits, internal and external.
