We are seeking a capable and dynamic Theatre Manager to lead our client's busy perioperative teams at their acute hospital site, based in the fashionable seaside city and cosmpolitan cultural hub of Brighton, East Sussex , on the Thameslink line to central London/Croydon/Gatwick.
This is a full-time post.
Our client is a key large provider of independent healthcare in the UK; working with many of the South East's most experienced consultants and healthcare specialists, our client delivers an exceptional standard of inpatient care supported by state-of-the-art equipment.
The successful candidate will provide strong clinical leadership and direction, managing bookings, optimising theatre use and skill mix, and undertaking audits and clinical governance tasks. They will ensure safe, risk assessed, evidence-based care while maintaining financial and budgetary awareness and business focus.
RGN or Operating Department Practitioner with full registration with the NMC or HCPC as applicable.
At least five years' previous Senior or Lead Practitioner experience (at least one year UK-based) including taking charge of department in the absence of the Manager/ Deputy Manager.
To have completed a recognised Teaching and Assessing/Mentorship qualification.
A BSc, Masters or other relevant evidence of ongoing clinical learning.
Ability to manage, motivate, develop and lead a department.
