For the role of Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision within your department and clinical supervision of more junior members of staff. You will ensure that your team members are supported and trained to be the best they can be.
As Senior Staff Nurse, you will use your current clinical skills to plan, implement and evaluate care for the patients. It is important that you and your team meet the needs of each patient and ensure they receive outstanding care during their stay.
For this varied role, you will get the opportunity to be involved in recruitment processes, leading inductions and performance reviews. You will also be dealing with disciplinary and grievance matters within the department.
About the Individual:
To be successful for the role of Senior Staff Nurse you must be NMC registered and possess a professional management qualification (NVQ level 2 or 3). You will have proven experience at a senior level within surgical procedures.
