I am currently looking to recruit a Deputy Nurse Manager for a a small privately owned care group who operate a number of excellent rated Nursing and Care homes for clients with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health illness throughout the Lancashire area. The philosophy of my client is to provide a safe, happy, supporting and healthy environment for residents within a homely setting. My client are currently looking for an RMN or RNLD qualified Deputy Nurse Manager who will work in a support role to the Registered Manager at their specialist Mental health care home in Accrington. This service provides support to Male and Female clients with mental health illness often stepping down from high dependency units and often with other complex issues such as drug and alcohol dependency and personality disorder. All of my clients services act as rehab services with the goal of progressing clients with the support needed to live as independently as possible within their community.
The Deputy Nurse Manager will work in a clinical role offering the support needed to the service users within the home while working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth operations of the home, health and safety, care planning, report writing as well as acting as a line manager to the care and support staff within the home. The Deputy Nurse Manager will be a RMN or RNLD and my client feel the role could be perfect for somebody that is newly qualified and looking for an opportunity to progress or even a candidate who is looking to step down into a less intense service from a previous Manager or Senior clinical position. The Deputy Nurse Manager will assist the Registered Manager in the day to day management of the home. The Deputy Nurse Manager will be responsible for teaching, guiding, directing and managing all members of the support staff team at.The Deputy Nurse Manager will need to develop positive and effective working relationships with community mental health services and other external professionals.
The Deputy Nurse Manager is required to hold a professional qualification (RNLD/RMN/OT) and will assist the manager in ensuring that service users receive a high quality, person-centered service and that service users are supported through a rehabilitation treatment program. A flexible approach to working hours is essential.
The salary on offer for this position is £27,000
