Salary: £26538 - £35928 plus £1641 registered clinical allowance
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, part-time hours will be considered
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time or part-time Nurse Practitioner to support Advanced Nurse Practitioners in the delivery of physical healthcare.
As part of our commitment to excellent physical healthcare for our patients, we are looking to recruit a full-time or part-time Nurse Practitioner, specialising in primary and physical healthcare. Service hours will be 08.00-20.00 Monday to Friday and 08.00-14.00 on Saturdays and will therefore require shift working.
As a Registered Nurse, you will act within your professional standards and boundaries to provide excellent physical healthcare for our patients as well as being an advocate for their physical healthcare needs.
You will be able to demonstrate skills in some, or all, of the following: clinical decision making, identification of medical emergencies and appropriate response.
Experience of patient assessment and providing some, or all, of the following interventions is desirable: management of chronic disease and long term conditions, smoking cessation, minor illness and injury assessment, wound management, ECG and venepuncture. There will also be the requirement to provide advice on promotion of good health and wellbeing.
The post holder will be expected to line manage Physical Healthcare Assistants (Band 4) and be involved in regular supervision and staff meetings. You will embrace the need to work collaboratively with colleagues within your department and across the Charity. This is a very wide and varied role, which will provide fresh challenges to the right candidate.
Knowledge and experience of working with challenging patient groups would be an advantage. You will need to be able to demonstrate a flexible, individual and person centred approach.
