Deputy Manager - Hednesford, Walsall - Cannock
£15.50 - £16.00 per hour + excellent benefits (£32,240 per annum minimum)
Contracted hours: Days - 40 hours

Time Recruitment are exclusively representing a national care home provider with and outstanding reputation. We are leading their search for a Deputy Manager near the Hednesford area of Cannock.
The home specialises in the provision of palliative and general nursing care alongside dementia nursing care. The facility is reasonable sized and caters to 52 residents in total; the nursing floor is small and caters to those requiring one to one nursing care and is well staffed.
The home is currently full to capacity for staff nurses but requires an excellent clinical leader to oversee the staff nurses and care team; your role will be a mix of clinical care so you have an extensive knowledge of your patients care needs but also a large amount of supernumerary time to allow you to oversee a medium sized site with the assistance of a long standing manager.
Reporting to the Home Manager, you will have direct responsibility for the performance of staff nurses and care staff within the home ensuring all training and up skilling is completed, staff rotas and off duty rotas are complete, all auditing, safeguarding and DOLS are up to standard and checking any clinical work completed to a high standard. You will liaise with only the best multi-disciplinary team including CQC and generally assist the home manager in day to day duties whilst maintaining family liaison duties also.
Your own development is integral to this role, as the stronger the deputy manager and leadership overall in this home, the better of a financial performer it is and the higher the clinical care standards are so as a clinical leader you will be developed and placed on a management succession programme if required; any training needs you feel you would benefit from you will receive to aid you in being successful in your role.

Firstly and foremost you must be a Registered Nurse - RGN/RMN or RNLD with an active NMC pin. You will come from a care home background with experience of working with elderly patients with a minimum of a years' experience in a senior/clinical leadership role. You will have experience of managing staffing levels and overseeing nurses and be able to demonstrate this.
