Director of Nursing (Private Hospital)
Are you a Senior Manager/Director within a private hospital looking for a new challenge within a private hospital group whose clinics provide the highest standard of care in London? If so, this could be the ideal role for you.
As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee large clinical and non-clinical teams who care for patients on Oncology, ENT, Urology, Endoscopy, Orthopaedics, Cosmetic Surgery, ICU, Radiology, Theatres, Gastro and Gynaecology. Therefore, experience in at least one of these specialities is essential. You will line manage, motivate and inspire a team of Ward Managers and Clinical Specialists to support them to ensure that the hospital continues to deliver the highest standard of care, exceeding the group's internal and CQC expectations, ensuing full compliance whilst striving for 'outstanding' care provided to each patient.
Reporting to the Chief Nurse, you will play an integral part of the Group's Senior Management Team, working alongside your peers consisting of other Directors of Nursing, Quality Managers and Clinical Directors. You will be responsible for the operational and strategic development of Nursing with the Hospitals additional to quality and clinical practice. You will work with the Learning and Development Director to produce and deliver innovative and dynamic clinical training to ensure that each Nurse is trained and developed.
You will also assist with the group's ambitious expansion strategy by taking a lead on recruitment in line with the workforce plan, as well as forging lasting relationships with external bodies and marketing the hospitals effectively. You will work in collaboration with the Chief Nurse and the Executive Board of Directors to implement robust performance management, clinical and governance systems.
You will have already gained significant leadership and clinical experience and must have:
- Experience in Managing multiple wards in private hospitals
- Had exposure to senior management roles and be a loyal employee
- Be able to motivate, inspire and empower both clinical and non-clinical teams
- Hold a valid NMC Pin
