These are exciting times as we look to recruit Operating Department Practitioners to work in our busy Operating Theatres. We have 14 theatres covering a wide range of surgical specialties including General Surgery, Breast and an expanding Vascular service, Urology, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Oral, ENT and some Plastic Surgery. In many of these areas we are utilising new technologies and are involved in future developments.
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are patient focused and strive to deliver high quality and safe patient care. You should be committed to working effectively within multi-professional teams and have excellent communication skills .A desire to join a team to develop and implement innovative practice within the theatre complex is essential.
We are a friendly and welcoming unit and will support you in your new role. We provide a comprehensive induction package including the opportunity to work in all of the specialties supported by our practice development team and our senior Band 6 and 7staff. You will have the opportunity to attend simulation study days in the Trust's newly installed simulation suite.
Hours: the need to be flexible is essential. The shift patterns include late shifts, weekend and an on call commitment.
