Working in the heart of Chelsea, within a state of the art fertility clinic, this large team consists of doctors, nurses, embryologists and administrative staff within the Assisted Conception team. As the Senior Staff Nurse in our IVF clinic you will be advising couples undergoing fertility treatment on what to expect in regards to their treatment and 'hold their hand' through each stage, ensuring they receive the support they would expect. You will also provide them with instructions on best clinical practice and teach them how to self-inject. As this is a very large and busy department you will be expected to get involved and assist the team to meet their team goals and will mentoring and develop junior members of the nursing team.
Salary £35,673 - £40,401 + 4% shift enhancement
Hours 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday between 8am - 7pm in shift patterns - also 2 in 4 weekend days
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of ultrasound imaging in accordance with BFS guidelines
- Liaise with clinicians, nurses and all paramedical staff to enhance patients treatment and care
- Carry out clinical duties in a professional and compassionate manner in accordance with HCA International and HFEA guidelines
- Responsible for the scheduling of patient treatment cycles, liaising with GP's to arrange prescription and drug administration
- Liaise with wards and staff within the Lister Hospital to co-ordinate treatment and increase awareness of patients' needs
Skills & Experience
- RGN, NMC registered with PIN
- Significant experience in an IVF setting
- Ultrasound scanning in a fertility setting
- Evidence of professional update
- Proven leadership skills
