Staff Nurse RMN - Eating Disorder Unit - Birmingham, West Midlands - Salary £28,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
My client is one of the region's most highly regarded pioneers of mental health care and is part of one of the UK's award winning companies which provides specialist and complex mental health care nationally. The service is located in one of Birmingham's most affluent suburbs and they are looking for experienced Registered Mental Health nurses to join their vibrant and knowledgeable team on the adult eating disorder unit.

The hospital itself works with both adults and adolescents suffering from a range of mental health needs, covering eating disorders, anxiety and depression, and also more acute and complex psychiatric illness. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced RMN to join a fast-paced and challenging service in which you can develop both personally and professionally.
In the last year the hospital has undergone vast amount of change including renovation and improvements across their wards and the opening of a new 18-25 and PICU ward. As a staff nurse you will be expected to provide clinical leadership to junior members of staff and be experienced in both acute mental health and clinical care settings.
You will have a clear understanding of both the Mental Health Act, DoLs and Nurse's Holding Powers. This is a very challenging environment however the rewards which you will benefit from and the support available make this a great place to work.
As a Staff Nurse (RMN) you will be responsible for:
-Ensuring optimum client care is maintained by liaising with all health workers and professionals
-Providing a high quality care
-Promoting and maintaining high standards of clinical practice
As a Staff Nurse (RMN) you will have:
-A Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification
-Current and valid registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK
-The ability to use your skills to develop care plans and assessments
-Experience of mental health services
-Acute experience (desirable)
-Knowledge of the revised Mental Health Act (1983)
