Position - Orthopaedic Scrub Theatre Practitioner - Bristol - Avon
Location - Bristol, Avon
Salary - Competitive depending on experience
Hours- Full-time

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced and committed Scrub Theatre Practitioner's/ODP's to join their friendly operating theatre team at a Private Hospital in Bristol.

You must have experience of scrubbing for joints.

If you are a Theatre Practitioner or an ODP looking for a role where you can build a diverse range of clinical skills this is the place for you, as our client will provide a very wide range of surgical procedures. This role will be working in Orthopaedic Scrub covering major & minor orthopaedics. Theatre teams also work closely with some of the region's leading consultants and are exposed to the latest innovative, evidence -based clinical techniques.

Qualifications and Training
RN or ODP qualification
Post registration qualification in clinical specialism
Working towards a clinical degree
Orthopaedic Scrub Theatre Practitioner

Ideally you will be able to work across scrub, anaesthetics and/or recovery, but many of our staff specialise in just one or two areas.
Most important is that our Theatre Nurses/ODPs are experienced in a variety of surgical procedures, or are willing to learn new procedures and techniques under expert supervision.
Applying the knowledge and skills gained through a post registration qualification in a clinical
Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case

Knowledge and Technical Ability
Competence across a range of perioperative skills supported by professional and clinical
knowledge acquired through state registration and further education and development.
Possess the mandatory training requirements for role including infection control and health
and safety competencies.
Possess Equipment and Medical Devices Competences
Continuing professional development.
Trained on MS Office and other relevant packages
Demonstrate principles of accountable practice
Teaching skills
