Registered Mental Health Nurse RMN or Registered Learning Disability Nurse RNLD –

Low Secure Services


£21,500 - £32,000 per annum with additional benefits. Our client is offering free accommodation for a fixed time along with a generous welcome payment for the right candidate

Newly qualified Preceptorships available.

Pay scale dependant on experience i.e. 6 months, 1, 2 or 3 years +

SJ Healthcare Professionals are a specialist recruiter within health and social care specialising within Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Brain Injuries.  We are looking for experienced qualified nurses, either a Registered Mental Health Nurse, RMN or Registered Learning Disability Nurse, RNLD who has experience of working within a Low Secure or Medium Secure Service. You should have experience of working with people with complex care needs and challenging behaviours.

The Service -

Our client provides Low Secure, High Dependancy and Rehabilitation for females with Mental Health needs, Learning Disabilities, Personality Disorders and those with complex care needs, including challenging behaviours.

You should have experience of working in either a low or medium secure environment and have experience of working with people with challenging behaviour.   

The Skills / Qualifications you should have are –

Essential Requirements

Registered Mental Health Nurse RMN or Registered Learning Disability Nurse RNLD

Experience within a similar role.

Experience of working in a secure environment

Team working

Experience of assessing and teaching junior staff

Experience of working with potentially aggressive and stressful situations

Management of Violence and Aggression training

Desirable Requirements:

Working with people with complex conditions and who display challenging behaviour

Knowledge and Understanding of:

The Mental Health Act 1983 as amended 2007

The Health and Social Care Act 2008 and requirements

Ongoing training available and continue professional development.
