A vacancy for a Senior Theatre Practitioner has arisen within a prestigious and reputable care group in their private hospital in Harrow.

The ideal candidate will be a Registered Practitioner with either NMC or HPC registration and will have undertaken a recognised anaesthetic course.

Ideally you will have also undertaken either ILS or ALS along with a mentorship course such as ENB 998, an Advanced Scrub Practitioner Course and an external management qualification.

You will have worked with a varied patient case mix and will have developed sound clinical reasoning skills and will be competent in a range of skills.

You will support, coordinate and actively assist with the management and organisation of patient care within the Operating Department and will ensure that all staff deliver high quality care throughout the perioperative phase of care.

You will provide leadership and clinical guidance to the Operating Department team and will handle care planning and delivery whilst ensuring adequate stocks of drugs and equipment are maintained.

You will prepare the appropriate equipment prior to surgical procedures, ensuring they are safely and correctly used. You will monitor the patient’s condition at all times throughout the procedure and will comply with all infection prevention and control policies and ensure best practices are maintained to ensure low infection rates.

Full time hours of 37.5 per week and part time hours are available and this position will involve on-call duty and shift work.

The salary for this position, working full time is up to £38,665 per annum and you will also receive a fantastic benefits package which includes a generous annual leave allowance plus long service days, private health cover, reduced gym membership fees and excellent opportunities for training and development.
