Ward Manager (RMN) - Locked female transitional - Wolverhampton, West Midlands - £38,000 per annum

Contract: 37.5 hours per week

My client is a small, purpose built, all female mental health transitional service which delivers excellent mental health care to individuals who require a period of stability before starting their rehabilitation programme. I am currently looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), experienced in a low or medium secure setting to join this small locked transitional rehabilitation service in Wolverhampton, West Midlands as Ward Manager.

Offering rehabilitation and a safe place for those who need a safe environment to reduce the risk to themselves and others and recovery for individuals who may be sectioned under the Mental Health Act (1983). You will have experience working in a similarly clinical and complex mental health environment with patients of a forensic, acute and enduring mental health background. Some patients have a diagnosis of complex, enduring and largely treatment resistant conditions including substance misuse and challenging behaviour.

The small service is part of one of the UK's most familiar mental health care providers and support individuals through the provision of care from acute to recovery. The service provides transitional care to women with a range of mental health needs including personality disorder, challenging behaviour and those who may be detained under the Mental Health Act. The support they are given aims to ensure a smooth transition from adolescent to adult services.

You will have a sound knowledge of both theoretical and clinical aspects of nursing including developments within your profession. As Ward Manager (RMN) you will be providing clinical leadership to all members of the healthcare team. The service aims to provide support to each of their patients in order to enable them to fulfil their goals and take positive steps towards recovery. As part of the multidisciplinary team you will provide intensive therapy to residents which encouraging them to maintain their independence. The service is considered one of the most highly regarded services in the area and they are looking for an accomplished and passionate Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join their team as Ward Manager

As Ward Manager (RMN) you will be responsible for:

-Ensuring optimum client care is maintained by liaising with all health workers and professionals
-Providing a high quality care
-Promoting and maintaining high standards of clinical practice

As Ward Manager (RMN) you will have:

-Experience in secure or locked rehab setting
-Proven leadership experience in a similar role
-A Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification
-Current and valid registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK
-An enhanced DBS
-Experience of mental health services
-Acute experience (desirable)
-Knowledge of the revised Mental Health Act (1983)
