Deputy Ward Manager (RMN) - Adults PICU - Mental Health Hospital - Widnes, Merseyside - Salary up to £32,000 + Additional Enhancement

I am looking for an experienced Deputy Ward Manager to assist in taking charge of a brand new PICU ward at an established hospital in Widnes, Merseyside. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse that would like to assist the Ward Manager and play a monumental part in building a strong clinical team and create and environment on the ward that works to the same exceptional standards found in the existing wards.

This service is locked facility and provides care for men and women with complex mental health requirements. The hospital has been split into two distinct areas prior to the new PICU ward;

-A locked male Autism Service for the challenging and complex needs of adults with Autism and Aspergers syndrome
-A locked assessment and rehabilitation for women with complex mental health needs and personality difficulties

The Deputy Ward Manager (RMN) will be expected to;

-You will take an active role in managing the ward under supervision of the Ward Manager, and take charge in their absence.
-You will also have proven leadership skills along with a strong drive to develop yourself and the dedicated nursing team.
-You will directly participate in patient care offer a high standard of both customer and patient care
-This role is a clinical position, and you will work clinical shift patterns, as a visible leader

The ideal candidate for Deputy Ward Manager (RMN) Adults PICU will:

-Have a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification
-Possess a UK NMC registration and Nursing PIN
-Have experience in a senior or management position
