Job Description Leading the clinical management of a defined ward or department, within the unit to include support and mentorship of junior staff, acting as a clinical expert and role model. Salary £39,000 - £45,400 per annum + benefits & enhancement. Full Time Permanent   Duties & Responsibilities • Maintain a high level of clinical practice • To take responsibility for own practice, in accordance with NMC and hospital guidelines/protocols • Assess, plan and evaluate care • Plan and monitor staffing needs and including preparation of staff rotas • Risk assessment and management • Maintain confidentiality • Awareness of budgetary issues when allocating resources • Capture patient revenues • Ensure adequate teaching and mentoring of junior staff • To be knowledgeable with all equipment, for skilled and safe use and ensure that all staff are trained in use as appropriate • To ensure equipment is in good working order • To keep up to date with current procedures • To maintain accurate staff and patient records   Skills & Experience • Registered Nurse Level 1 – 5 years + Oncology / Haemato-oncology and surgical experience • NMC Registration and PREP requirements • Relevant Post Registration Qualification • Ideally educated to degree level • 5 years post registration experience • Phlebotomy / IV/ Chemotherapy experience
