Occupational Health Nurse Advisor
Part or Full Time considered
to £40,000 salary
** Construction Industry
** In - house, Directly employed role
** Clinical and hands on
** Standalone role as part of H+S
This is a standalone, directly employed role providing a clinical, hands on Occupational Health service in the construction environment.
This position can be considered part time, minimum 3 days for the right person.
You will be working directly for a large construction company, with a day or 2 a week based at head office and 3-4 days a week visiting various construction sites in central London.
When on site you'll be undertaking mostly clinical duties such as Safety Critical Medicals, Health Promotion workshops and Toolbox talks, Health Surveillance, Dermatological assessments, Drug and Alcohol testing and other duties.
You'll be using your construction industry knowledge and experience to help provide a safe and healthy working environment, working as part of the Health and Safety team.
There's also the opportunity to help develop, improve and expand the occupational health service within the company.
You must be an NMC Part 1 registered RGN with Occupational Health Nurse or Advisor experience.
Due to the nature of the role you'll need recent and relevant experience working in a construction environment, directly on site in a hands on capacity.
An OH qualification would be ideal, though applicants with lots of relevant construction experience can also be considered.
You must be flexible to travel around London to various sites as needed and be able to carry a small amount of kit (no bigger than a small wheeled suitcase) when required.
In this role you'll be working directly for the company and not via a healthcare provider. As the only employed nurse this is a great opportunity to make a real impact to the OH service and employees.
There's a competitive salary on offer and the chance to have a varied working week at different locations.
