A small general elderly care home just outside Motherwell has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join their team in the post of Deputy Manager.

In this role, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to support the day to day clinical and operational management of their home and will run the home in their absence. You will provide clinical leadership and line management to the care and nursing teams and will act as a proactive, motivated manager.

As Deputy Manager, you will work 36 hours per week on days, with 12 hours of this spent undertaking supernumerary duties. A competitive salary of £30,000 per year is offered in return.

The successful candidate for this Deputy Manager vacancy should meet the following criteria:

• Registered Adult/General Nurse (RGN) or Mental Health Nurse (RMN)

• From a strong background in elderly nursing care with excellent knowledge and understanding of care planning and delivery, Care Inspectorate requirements and health and safety legislation

• A strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Passionate about high quality care
