Staff Nurse RGN or RMN - Elderly and dementia nursing home - Worcester, Worcestershire - Full Time Days and Nights - £15.50 per hour

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse to join this excellent elderly nursing home overlooking the Malvern Hills. Specialising in providing an exceptional level of nursing care to residents living with MS or neurological conditions, this medium sized home is part of an independent national healthcare group. This is a fantastic opportunity for an RGN or RMN to join this highly skilled and experienced team and make a real difference to the lives of those in your care.

Life at the home is complimented by its rural location. With a sensory garden, physiotherapy room, and a comprehensive schedule of activities it is easy to find peace and quiet or get involved with other residents. The large country house is located within close proximity to both the River Severn and the Malvern Hills. It is also approximately a 20 minutes' drive from the centre of Worcester.

You will be experienced working within a clinical care setting and preferably with neurological conditions. Residents at the home have needs ranging from Alzheimer's and Dementia, MS, Muscular Dystrophy, Parkinson's and Motor Neurone Disease. Due to the nature of the residents' needs there may be episodes of challenging or aggressive behaviour and you will be able to work to build therapeutic and effective relationships. Comprehensive training and development are provided at the home along with personal and professional development being actively encouraged.

The home is looking for a vibrant and dedicated Registered Nurse who is passionate about improving care practices and continually striving to make dementia care better.

The role of the RGN or RMN is:

-Deliver the highest standards of care with dignity and respect
-Develop, review and update care plans
-Comply with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines
-Ensure medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered
-Ensure all relevant policies and procedures are read, understood are adhered to by all staff.
-Provide clinical leadership & supervision for the healthcare staff
-Participate in the induction and training of all new staff on the unit
-Supervise and monitor standards of care and take appropriate action to improve standards when required
-Ensure all clinical documentation is well maintained and filed in the appropriate places

As a RGN or RMN you will have:

-Experience in a similar setting (Hospital or Nursing Home)
-A relevant nursing qualification (RGN/RMN)
-Current registration with the NMC
-The legal right to work in the UK
