Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC) are a specialist cancer outpatient clinic with an international reputation as a center of excellence. We have 20 treatment chairs in our suite at 95/97 Harley Street, along with 8 at 81 Harley Street and 10 at the Platinum Medical Centre. Job Description

As deputy to the sister/charge nurse the senior staff nurse is instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of clinical care are delivered. To be an advocate for the patient, working within the multidisciplinary team. Day to day smooth running of the unit working together with other clinical areas to ensure safe patient flow. Provide effective communication between all members of the multidisciplinary team. Ensure high levels of professional behaviour are adhered to at all times. To communicate effectively at all levels within the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder’s primary post will be within the Adult oncology Departments

Duties & Responsibilities

The main purpose of this role is to support members of the Leaders in Oncology Care team ensuring all patients receive appropriate care, as well as co-ordinate patient care within a multidisciplinary team.

Hours: This is a Full Time position, working 37.5 hours per week MON - FRI and NO NIGHTS

Salary: £35,500 - £40,400 per annum depending on experience

Skills & Experience

  • NMC Registered Nurse (RN Adult)

  • Experience in oncology/haematology

  • Chemotherapy Competence is ideal

  • Experience of working with Chemotherapy Patients is preferred

The successful candidate will be adaptable and able to meet changing working patterns and caseload, working independently as well as within the team. They will possess a passion for delivering customer service and a desire to provide an exceptional patient experience. Due to the nature of the role, adherence to policy, procedure and guidelines will be of paramount importance in conjunction with the customer-centric attitude.
