District Nurse / Community Nurse (band 5, 6, 7) - Canterbury

We are actively looking for a number of district nurse's with a passion for a mobile role in the community. We have opportunities to work 2, 3, 4 or 5 days a week on a rolling contract or ad-hoc shifts depending on what is perfect for you.

Our clients are leading NHS trusts actively looking to expand their team at a number of different locations nationwide. Our clients are looking for district nurses working at a band 5, 6 and 7 to work at various locations providing care within the community.
About The Role:
Duties of district nurse may include:
- Wound care - leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, surgical wounds and lacerations
- Catheterisation - male, female and supra-pubic
- Injections - IM, Sub-cut
- Compression bandaging
- IVs - PICC line antibiotic administration, flushing, dressing and bung change
- Holistic assessment
- Palliative Care
About The Individual:
As a district nurse you will be caring for people in the community including older people, people with physical disabilities, sensory impairment, terminal illness, dementia - and their carers / dependents - in their home, in clinics or intermediate care community healthcare environment.
