A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse with senior level experience in care homes to work as Deputy Manager in a 50 bedded care home on the Isle of Wight.

This home provides general elderly nursing care and dementia care and support and during the most recent inspection the overall “good” quality grade awarded reflected the excellent standards of care maintained in the home.

As Deputy Manager you will work a 40 hour week on days and will receive an excellent salary package from £34,000 to £36,000 per annum along with a supportive working environment and regular training and career development opportunities.

The successful candidate for this Deputy Manager post will meet the following criteria:

• NMC registered Adult/General Nurse (RGN), Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD)

• Extensive elderly care experience with extremely strong clinical skills and a “hands on” approach

• Strong leadership skills and able to lead, develop and motivate a team

• Well organised and able to manage rotas and staffing levels

• Flexible to work some weekends and meet the needs of the home

As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the clinical and operational management of the home, working to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained. Your time will be split between supernumerary duties and clinical duties.
