Time Recruitment is currently supporting a large national healthcare provider in its search for a Clinical Lead for a specialist dementia centre in Kings Norton, Birmingham. The site provides long stay or short stay care for those with challenging behaviours or mild dementia.
The facility is extremely passionate about high end dementia care and runs a dementia champion programme across the home alongside providing specialist training into dementia mapping and awareness and have only the most qualified dementia specialists and support staff on site.
The company are award winning for its training and development and offer a university accredited management succession programme ensuring you get educational support before starting the role; the position offers NVQ level 4 and 5 all paid for and regular one to one sessions with the home manager to ensure routes into deputy home management and home management are addressed with a structured career development portfolio, being a national company progression opportunities are greater and are heavily endorsed.
The role for Clinical Lead will require you to complete to following duties regularly:
"Leading and supervising a staff nurse team
"Providing resident centered care
"Responsible for the day to day running of the nursing unit
"Development of staff nurses within your team
"Working with the senior management team implementing clinical interventions
"Complex assessments and discharges
"Delivery of clinical training assisted by a clinical trainer
"Hands on clinical care - acting as named nurse to a few patients
"Resident family liaison
"Working with a strong dementia centered multi-disciplinary team
With a strong team and a recently refurbished environment this role is a pivotal one in which we are looking for a driven Clinical Lead either RGN/RMN or RNLD qualified with a track record of overseeing nursing teams and someone who is committed to the development of others and has some experience with dementia care.
The home manager is long standing along with many of the nurses on site with a well-trained experienced team of care staff; you will be assisted on shift by three other nurses on a day shift, a clinical trainer, the home manager and 8 care staff. The service currently has no requirements for staff nurses and is well equipped to provide the highest standard of care.
