An exciting opportunity has arisen for a conscientious Nurse Manager to join our team of complex care in Supported Living around Oxford & Banbury.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To complete full training for clients with high clinical needs i.e. Ventilator Dependant, Tracheostomy, suctioning, chest physio, cough assist, bladder & bowels management
  • Support and supervise Nursing Team in the community
  • To be able to work flexible hours to support the needs of the clients, which will include a mixed shift pattern of days, nights and weekends
  • Assess the clients health and wellbeing across a complex and changing caseload
  • Review individual packages on a monthly basis
  • Assist in the delivery of care to meet the individuals health and wellbeing needs
  • Provide and receive complex, sensitive or conscientious information
  • Develop own knowledge and skills with practice and training needs
  • Assist in maintaining and developing services
  • Contribute to quality improvement
  • Promote people's equality, diversity and rights
  • Work autonomously with minimum supervision once training has been completed
  • Manage caseloads and direct clinical support workers
  • Applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes

  • The Nurse will be successful at working in a team and working alone
  • Competence across a range of nursing skills supported by professional and clinical knowledge
  • Liaise withe the clinical nurse on a daily basis
  • Demonstrate principles of accountable practice as a Nurse
  • Effective interpersonal communication and influencing skills
  • Strong ability to plan and maintain packages of care
  • Positive attitude towards clients and staff team
  • Flexibility and willingness to help out in a crisis
  • Be open to constructive criticism and take personal responsibility for the quality of your work
  • Show commitment and enthusiasm to training and personal development
  • Work within professional boundaries and relationships
  • Acting as a role model ie leading by example in the support of clients challenging or clinical needs
  • Enable a consultative culture within the packages
  • Ability to motivate and inspire the staff team
  • Must be a driver, with own car - Mileage will be paid

Salary: £35,000 p/a
Hours: 40 Hours a week
