HOSPICE STAFF NURSE (RGN OR RSCN) - HAMPSHIRE - FULL-TIME - PERMANENT - £25,000 - £29,000 + enhancements

Medicor are pleased to consider applications for the position of Staff Nurse working for a hospice in Hampshire.

In order to be considered for this position, you will be either a NMC Registered Nurse - Adult (RGN / RN 1/ RNA) or a Registered Nurse - Child (RCSN - RN Child) with significant post-registration experience. This should ideally be from an acute hospital background. Also experience of ventilated patients would be an advantage, however full training will be provided.

The position is based in Hampshire and is commutable from Winchester, Southampton, Andover, Basingstoke or Newbury. There is little public transport to the hospice, so driving is essential for the position. Free parking is however available and plentiful.

You role as a Staff Nurse working in this hospice setting, will be to provide the best possible nursing care to patients with life limiting illnesses, with ages ranging from 0 to 30 years old. You will also provide support and advice to patients families and the hospice is set up as a home from home environment, to facilitate family life in this most trying of circumstances. As a Staff Nurse, you will be supported by Senior Staff and at times, may take the lead in the shift coordination.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. This will involve full-rotation with days, evenings, nights and weekends working required as part of the team rota.

Salary for the position is between £25,000 and £29,000 and will be dependent on experience and suitability for the role. On top of this is pension (including the option to continue paying into a NHS Pension), 28 days annual leave and enhancements for unsocial working. The hospice will also ensure you are well trained for your role, with support in clinical educational opportunities and specialist training for your role.
