IV Therapies Homecare Nurse - East Midlands Job, East Midlands, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire
Location: East Midlands - Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire
Rate: £ 23 to £ 28 K - per annum
Job Status: Permanent
Fabulous opportunity for enthusiastic, dedicated and highly-skilled Nurses to join a market-leading Private Healthcare organisation operating within the homecare sector working with the IV Therapies team based in East Midlands.
Our client currently has an urgent requirement for Band 5 and Band 6 Nurses with infusion and cannulation experience to become part of its UK-wide team. Operating within the community and within a pre-defined regional territory, post-holders will work autonomously and provide flexible nursing and support to patients in their own homes.
The IV Therapies administered consist of IV antibiotics, Growth Hormone, Multiple Sclerosis injections which enable patients to be discharged from hospital early and receive the remainder of their treatment at home.
These are nursing roles with a difference, in that they offer genuine opportunities for nurses to care for and attend to the needs of their patients, developing relationships built on reliance and trust. The nurses are responsible for providing clinical support to the patients and their families encompassing drug administration i.e. connecting and disconnecting a patient to their medication and full patient training which inevitably means the patient can take responsibility for administering their own treatment over time.
Applicants should be friendly, communicative and self-motivated team-players with a strong nursing background in A&E/Surgical/Medical and ITU with a keen interest in community-based nursing. Candidates must be willing to work early and late shifts including weekends. Overtime will be paid at an hourly rate with an uplifted pay rate for out of hours.
Previous infusion/IV therapies experience and the ability to administer a cannular are desirable, as is the ability to manage time effectively whilst working remotely. A minimum of 12 months post qualification experience is required for this role.
Candidates must also possess a full driving licence.
An excellent benefits package awaits successful applicants, including competitive annual salary (£23-£28k p.a.), company car/car allowance, pension, private healthcare, travel expenses and 25 days annual leave.
