EMERGENCY NURSE PRACTITIONER

Healthcare Professionals are currently recruiting Nurse Practitioners to work for one of the leading independent providers of health care and social services in the UK who successfully run a number of primary care facilities across the UK. We are currently recruiting Nurse Practitioners to work in one of their facilities in Essex.

JOB ROLE

The successful applicants will be working within a nurse led NHS Walk in Centre. Providing treatment and advice for the following types of ailments and injuries:
* Advice and treatment for a variety of minor ailments e.g. ear and throat infections, acute flare ups of chronic conditions such as asthma and COPD etc
* Contraception services including emergency contraception, IUCD fitting
;
* Sexual Health screening and advice
* Smoking cessation
* Chronic disease management
* Health promotion and disease prevention services
* Immunisations and vaccinations
* Drug and alcohol misuse
;
* Care of the homeless
;
* Minor surgery
;
* Treatment of paediatric patients

REQUIREMENTS
* Registered with the NMC
* At least 4 years post qualification experience
* Working over the last year in Primary Care, A&E or the Urgent care / Unscheduled care setting
* Advanced registered qualification as either:
Nurse Prescriber, Minor Injuries Treatment, or Minor Ailments Treatment.
