About Clinical Nurse Jobs

Clinical nurse jobs are all about professional nurses who carry on the role of nurse practitioners and work in a variety of clinical settings, such as health clinics, the NHS, primary care practices and hospitals.

Applicants for clinical nurse jobs must be registered nurses (as required by the Royal College of Nursing) and, in many instances, have some experience.

Clinical nurses must be knowledgeable in a range of use in technical skills, such as invasive procedures and clinical examinations. Teamwork and communication skills, as well as cognitive skills needed for making correct decisions and clinical reasoning are crucial clinical nurse requirements.

Daily Duties of Clinical Nurse Jobs Many of the duties that clinical nurses face come only with experience. Procedures such as administering IV medicines and venipuncture are some of the daily routine duties of clinical nurses. Other duties involve—

  • Applying plaster casts, splints and braces
  • Caring for patients with amputations
  • Parenteral nutrition
  • Application of tubigrip support bandages
  • Iloprost therapy
  • Dialysis
  • Bladder irrigation
  • Ventilators
