Your Role in Care Home Jobs
As a support worker or care assistant in a care home, you’ll be required to manage daily tasks for clients, such as personal care and hygiene, to include assisting with bathing, shaving and dressing.
Although you may have access to free training on the job, many care home jobs often require some past experience of at least a year working with the elderly. Being able to drive a car is a must, as well. Also, if you hold a NVQ in healthcare support, you’ll be greatly benefited in finding a better paying care home job.

If you have a degree (and the necessary registration with the NMC) as care home nurse, you can find a care home job that could pay £27K per annum (approximately - more and less is offered). Rates of pay for other care professionals and managers and deputy managers varies too much to be able to even outline an approximate scale for each.
