Nursing careers at Spire Healthcare
There really is nowhere better to develop your nursing career than Spire Healthcare.
"As a senior nurse at my hospital I can truly say that I feel valued"
Helen Rogers - Senior Nurse
We have a variety of nursing specialities within our 36 hospitals, where you’ll also find many learning and career development opportunities.
We will encourage, support and guide you every step of the way. We’ll provide you with a mentor and clinical supervision, in an environment where delivering quality health and care services are paramount.
We are pleased to announce that Spire Healthcare has performed very well in two categories of the Laing & Buisson 2008 Independent Healthcare Awards. Spire Healthcare Head of Infection Control was a runner-up in the Nursing Practice category and Sonia King, Clinical Governance Facilitator, won the Healthcare Outcomes category.
Helen Rogers - Senior Nurse and Critical Care Trainer:
“I joined a Spire Healthcare hospital nearly eight years ago as a care management sister and spent 14 months devising care pathways and setting up the care management service. I was then promoted to out-patient manager.
"After two maternity absences I needed a role that would fit in with family life, so I took on the position of practice educator. I thoroughly enjoyed training and developing the staff in my hospital.
"When the position of critical care trainer was introduced I jumped at the opportunity. Since then I have the privilege to be trained as an ALS and ALERT instructor but still enjoy the flexibility that working for Spire Healthcare gives to me.
"As a senior nurse at my hospital I can truly say that I feel valued and know that I am an important part of the clinical team.”
