What does this site do?

This site lists Staff Nurse jobs and Health Care Assistant HCA jobs, as well as jobs for other specialisms like Mental Health Nurse RMN jobs. It has been built for health care professionals looking to find a new job.

The site lists jobs for all nursing sectors, including specialisms such as Learning Disability Nurse jobs and Neonatal Nurse Jobs.

We want this site to be easy to use and logical for nursing job seekers. If you think we can improve the service, we'd love to hear from you.

Adding my NMC number to my CV Profile

You'll notice that when you upload your CV Profile (once you've registered) that we allow you to add your NMC number. This is to help you keep all information in one place. Plus, most healthcare recruiters will want to see your NMC number.

When uploading your CV Profile you'll be asked to tick whether or not you're registered. If you don't know your NMC number, don't worry - you can add it later.

On your account home page (see your account home page) you'll have a red cross beside your Registered Nurse detail if you've said you are a Registered Nurse but not entered your NMC number. To add your NMC number just click to modify your CV and add it.

I have a Pin number - can I work in the UK?

An NMC pin number is required for most Nursing Jobs. The points-based system is a UK Home Office scheme for those wishing to come to the UK to work. If you wish to come to the UK to work as a registered nurse, you will need to be eligible to work in the UK, which means passing the Home Office points based system. Only then will the NMC pin number be applicable. Just having the pin number on its own will not be enough, nor will simply having eligibility to work in the UK.

If you are eligible to work in the UK but do not have an NMC pin number you can apply for HCA jobs, but not registered nurse jobs.

Can you tell me more about finding a career in nursing?

Yes, we’ve created a page to help you understand more about nursing careers.

How can I contact you?

If you have a question, please read the FAQs below first to make sure it's not already covered here.

If it's with regard to a problem you've come across then, please, do tell us. Similarly, if you're just confused or stuck, we can help.

Please help us by being as precise as you can if you're reporting an error (such as sending the address of the exact web page you're on, the browser you use, exact error message you get).

OK, now click here to contact us.

I can't confirm my account - why?

You should receive an email in which is a link which you need to click to confirm your details.

If you haven't received this email, go to your account home page (see your account page) and click to request this again. Be sure to check your Junk Mail as it might be going there. The email may be considered as spam by some vigilant software too! If this is the case you could try using a different email account?

Can you tell me if my job application has been received?

Unfortunately, we can’t confirm whether any applications have been received. Because we are not the employer or recruitment agency who advertised the job you applied to we don't receive the applications.

If you ever wish to check your application has been sent, we've built a section so you can easily do this. See your own 'Application History' in your Candidate Login area.

Once sent, your application will be received by our client and responded to by them. If you do not hear from them we would suggest you can assume you have not been successful. Sometimes this can be because applicants do not meet the absolute minimum requirements for a position.

Can I send you my CV?

No, sorry, we're not able to recruit you. We deliberately don’t put our email address on this site. We can't employ you or anyone else... but our clients can.

a. click Register Now
b. complete your details
c. verify details in the email you'll receive
d. log in to your account and upload a CV
e. browse for jobs and apply to them

How do I attach a photograph to my CV?

This is unnecessary. The only article you need to send to apply for a job is your CV.

When sending my CV I get an error every time. Why is this?

This is almost certainly because your CV is too large. By that, we mean it is over the permissible file size of 700KB. We restrict large files because our clients do not wish to receive files over 1MB.

To find out why your file is too big we recommend you look at two regular problems:

i. you have inserted a very large image. You need to make it smaller.
ii. You have used complicated styling (graphics, borders, colours, photos etc).

How do I know how large my CV is?

To work out how large any file is (your CV, an image etc) you need to find it in your PC’s system. Put your cursor over it, right click your mouse, choose properties. It will tell you the size.

I still get an error and my file is definitely beneath 750K. What’s the problem now?

As stated on the site we can only accept certain file types. These are doc, htm, html, txt, rtf. Microsoft Word is the most common word processor in the world. With Word you can create doc and rtf files. Notepad will create txt files.

If your CV is saved as a different file type you will need to open it, click on file, choose save as, and in File Type choose doc, htm, html, txt or rtf (rich text format).
